SoPac Solutions was created to embrace the values and commitment that I believe are so important in order for today's organisations to grow into tomorrow's industry leaders. To do this, we understand that Customer Satisfaction is critical, and that this can only be consistently realised when real customer requirements drive technology - and not the other way around.

In August of 2001, SoPac Solutions was created out of a desire to provide a service that had all the technical skills of other organisations of that time, coupled with a keen desire and real committment to connect with the customer, and in the simplest way, let real requirements drive the technology, not hype. When "Knowledge Management" was all the rage, for example, we took the simplified view that our product of choice, Microsoft SharePoint, was really just a toolset. SharePoint to us was just a suite of features, and clients could choose to implement the ones most relevant to what they wanted to do. Easy. In the end, whether you chose to call it Knowledge Management or not, to us, was inconsequential. For us, it is always about getting to a solution, driven by real requirements.

We hope you take the time to browse through our site, where we seek to convey a high-level view of what we do, how we do it, and why we believe we are meeting with such great success in a competitive, ever-changing, challenging marketplace. You may notice our decision not to target any particular market verticals. This is very deliberate. Even though many organisations choose to use such verticals as a way to define what they do, we have taken an approach that follows three principles:

1 We only do work we are good at, irrespective of the industry. We believe that we can never have the same domain knowledge our clients have - you know your business better than we do. Our role is to act as the go-between, the technology experts, bridging the gap between your requirements and the technology. Where we have specific knowledge, we're keen to share it, and where we don't, we're keen to learn.
2 We do not want to preclude ourselves from new opportunities. Saying, for example, that we have extensive experience in Manufacturing should not mean that we cannot add value in Retail or Utilities markets (although as it stands, we have experience in all of them!) In fact, some may even make the argument that the spreading of ideas across verticals is a unique benefit.
3 If we continue to do work in areas we have worked in before, we will always be doing the same work. For us, the ingredients of good solutions readily cross the boundaries of vertical markets. We also find that because we have a genuine interest in the development of our employees, by constantly seeking new opportunities, we can offer more and more opportunities for them to continue to learn and grow. When our people are enthusiastic and motivated, we all win.

Finally, I would like to leave you with some of the rationale behind the way we work to position ourselves as trusted partners to your business. Firstly, don't be fooled by our competitive pricing. This does not reflect our experience relative to our competitors. Rather, it is a very real commitment to our philosophy of providing value for money solutions that are affordable over the long term. While others 'churn and burn', we focus on keeping, strengthening and deepening our customer relationships. Saying we do though, is one thing - showing it is another.

Also, you may decide to take the time to investigate our 'Fair Pricing Policy', or look into how we treat Intellectual Property. While in my opinion this should not differentiate us in the market, in many cases, it does.
